Life can be lived to its fullest potential and you don t have to sacrifice your dreams just because you have Diabetes Those are the words Olympic rower and marathon runner Chris Jarvis lives by For nearly 13 years Jarvis has lived and struggled with Type 1 diabetes He s beating the odds with strict monitoring and some help from technology Tonight Jarvis is bringing his story of success and determination to the Sleep Inn for the 3rd annual Diabetes Health Day Jarvis says information is critical for people with diabetes He says if it is managed properly dreams won t have to suffer because of the disease Chris Jarvis Olympic Rower Over 13 years I ve gone from testing my blood sugar a lot to not really testing because I couldn t understand the information I think this is a helpful way now that we have a continuous stream of information because if people thought maybe it was too much but when you have a picture of how you blood sugars got into that trouble zone so it s actually providing enough information now that we can understand all of our decisions and the consequences of them Jarvis is speaking tonight at 7pm at the Sleep Inn amp amp Suites in Minot He s a member of the Canadian Olympic Rowing Team and was the team captain of his rowing team for Northeastern University in Boston
